Join us at the Welcome Project to celebrate Bournemouth’s diverse community and Refugee Week with
3 days of FREE installations, exhibitions and creative activities for all the family!
Welcome to Bournemouth, welcome to Boscombe, and welcome to the Sovereign Centre where, on Friday 24th – Sunday 26th June, a series of eye-catching exhibits, installations and hands-on activities will explore the Welcome theme of this year’s National Refugee Week. What does it feel like being part of a community like Boscombe? What is it like to be a refugee or asylum seeker in Bournemouth?
The Welcome Project will focus on these questions, bringing together professional local artists, as well as community members, including those with refugee backgrounds. The event is free and open to everyone who will be invited to experiment with different artistic media and experiences.
